It is 2023, and the majority of Americans now believe climate change is real and mostly caused by human activity. Taking action on the climate, with other people, is one of the best and most hopeful things we can do to move from hopelessness to what Joanna Macy calls Active Hope. 

We, in the northern latitudes, are in the season of darkness—dark when we awaken in the morning, dark by late afternoon. This is not my first winter. I know—I Trust—that the light will return.
